Well I only heard this song for a few hours ago but I think the song might be about some form of domestic abuse from a father or other male relative. The lines that make me think this are:

"A monster lives in your backyard." The monster being the abuser and the backyard meaning that he is someone very close to home to the person (ie. a relative) or he is literally singing to one of his neighbours that one of their neighbours is a violent drunk etc.

"The big get bigger when the fight's done" The abuser only picks on the small and weak to make themselves feel bigger and better.

"A catalogue of nothing good" Just another reference that the house was a home to abuse.

"To find out where it feeds: A house." The occupants of the house are the victims of the "monster"

It could be the idea of domestic abuse, but it could be the psychologist idea that Basic had.
