I think that by saying this they are saying that the world is not perfect, we are not a utopia, we do not have laws and we essentially live in chaos. Sort of goes against intelligent design and religion IMO. The universe isnt as perfect as we think.

This is very nihilistic. It's saying that life as we know it is going to end someday, and that we have no reason to exist, the reason why we do exist is because human nature includes survival.
