I agree with SeairaRayne, his daughter is the only thing he has living for, and he thinks shes gonna be taken from him by his wife, who he says to her:
"Don't you pretend it's gonna be okay
Don't lie and say it's better off this way
Don't pretend you're not the one who's wrong

He thinks its her fault that they're family is broken up because she cheated on him with his best friend, but she thinks hes the one who's wrong for burning down their house, and so she wants to take her away from him, but no one understands he needs her to live.
