I think that it is trying to say that we can't see saturns rings but they still exist and we don't have to see them for them to exist, like God and Heaven exist but we just can't see them. :)

I was thinking it could be referring to knowledge of whether or not we are actually saved, whether or not God is actually making changes in us - Saturn has rings around it that we can't see with our eyes, but they're there anyway. We sometimes doubt God and whether or not his grace is sufficient to save us, but it is. :D
