I think it might be about a relationship but maybe its literally about where they recorded the album too? I dont know much about Veckatimest Island on account of being at the other side of the atlantic to America but I know they recorded the album there and loved its seclusion.

every song i like tends to be about heartbreak or depression or isolation or... let's just round it off and say... they're all sad. and i play songs on blip.fm, and everyone's posting all these poppy, happy songs, and all i can think is how they must think that i am the most miserable person on the face of the planet, that i just sulk about and wallow in my mistery all day.
