Swallowtail Lyrics

This song actually reminds me of Homer's "Odyssee". In this epic work there is a part where Odysseus meets Circe, a beautiful witch. To give a brief summary of what happens: Circe bewitches all Odysseus' men, turning them into animals. Odysseus can escape her curse by eating some kind of herb Apollo had given to him. After Circe has seen Odysseus she wants him to accompany her, because she feels lonely on her island. She promises him she will turn his men human again if he stays with her for one night. Odysseus does what she asks, and as promised Odysseus and his crew can set sail the next morning.

I don't know if the song really has something to do with this myth, but the next lines make me think of this story:

All the things they told me liars! All because she is too beautiful I know I won't go back 'cause At the end I'll be a butterfly

I think the narrator is scared of being cursed and turned into an animal by Swallowtail.
