There is a mistake. The verse that starts "I laughed in the keep of the man..." goes
"I laughed in the keep of the man with hooves My mandibles are caked in trash. Thought you wouldn't recognise me in the black of soot and ash."
Everyone seems to get that first line and "Don't turn a deaf ear to my voice" line wrong.
