To me, it seems to be saying that someone has changed, seemingly for the worse, and is lying to get away from a lifestyle that he/she doesn't want, a "town...built to remind me of all my mistakes."

Okay... Does anyone else notice how some of DLD's song titles are based on lines from the movie "The Truman Show"? Maybe that's a wide-known fact and I'm just now realizing that, but there's this one plus their other song "Cue the Sun" that I've noticed.
