I start to wonder about songs from this new Archive's album. As French, I still question my interpretation of them. But here, I ear { ;-) } a glorification of murder, "Controlling crowd" seems such a depressed statement of our world and I really see an invitation to suicide in "Funeral".
Archive from depressive to desperate ?
Still nice songs !
I don't think it's necessarily a glorification of murder, but talking about someone who is doing his best to keep the animal from taking over (see the first two lines of the song). The reason the animal is underneath his skin is because of hatred ('black holes in the side of your face' is analogous to people who completely lose their shit and go temporarily blind). Finally, the hatred keeps pushing him to let the animal out (see the lines starting with "come and make me a martyr").

This battle between being the ordinary man and being violence...
This battle between being the ordinary man and being violence incarnate is reflected in the chorus "personal responsibility" and 'personal response insanity".
