ok so this is probably totally off but this song reminds me of my last relationship. we've been broken up for three months and things ended badly with us when he told me he loved me, but was blacked out and didn't remember it the next day. lame story, but whatever.
at the time, he asked me to say it back to him and didn't really answer him

and it feels as if we've been apart for a long time
