Deeper than that though, it is a song of mourning for a deposed god, made a demon by the Christians. Thus the line

The earth is soaked with blood and tears"
It calls for a return of the exiled Pagan god, and a return to the ways of the Earth, warning us that if we do not start taking care of Her, we will destroy Her.
