interesting point, at the factory there was this sandwich man who came round everyday and he had two sausage sandwiches which Patti used to crave, but there were two women who ruled the factory who would always take them. Patti wanted one so bad, so to distract herself she took a walk at lunch time and ended up at a book store where she found the book 'Illuminations' by Aruthur Rimbaud. she bought it because she liked the look of his name. she was reading it at work, with half being French then translated to English and got in trouble because the people at the factory thought it was communist book because it was foreign. she almost lost her job because of it, and attached a lot of sentimentality to it before she even read it. that was how her love of Rimbaud began :)
