in a recent review [with shockhound, i believe] mike was talking about how so many bands are making music solely for the purpose of meeting girls and such, and how his main focus when composing their songs is not at all for that type of attention, and i think this song definitely touches on that aspect.

its a pretty straightforward song: people have perverted the meaning of being an artist and are using their 'celebrity character' for something more than just relaying their ideas to an audience. its become somewhat of a joke in some aspects, and for those who are 'not pretending' its difficult to be taken seriously like bands such as tdwp deserve to be. 'don't memorize these names' is clearly a nod to the fact that they want their music and their message to be the focus, rather than themselves.

this is what i've gotten out of it at least; maybe you guys have some different opinions.

musically, this song is incredible, beautifully intricate and brings the brutality of the bands talent that we all know and love.
