Whether it's diet pills or meth, this song is definitely about drug abuse of some sort. Really creepy and effective song.
I've always loved the album Experimental Jet Set since the day it came out in 1994. But a lot of my friends who otherwise loved Sonic Youth couldn't get into the album. But when I would play them the version of this song with Thurston singing (on the Bull in the Heather single, now on The Destroyed Room comp.),they then realized how great this song is. This led to a re-listen of the Experimental Jet Set version, and a re-consideration of the whole album. They all eventually loved it.
