I personally think this is a song about a man, who has recently ended a relationship with a women, and still loves her as much as he did while they were together. He says to himself and others that he will get over it, but he knows deep down he cannot, so he has to "hide his love". Whether it's friends of his ex, or just normal people, they are making fun of, and laughing at him for not moving on since she has.
