Edit "You put me on pause / I'm trying to rewind and replay" although personally I think it SOUNDS like he is singing,

"you put me on PROZAC to rewind and replay" <--- sounds more appropriate for the song if you ask me.

but then again, I was on Prozac for PTSD & Major Depressive Disorder for a very long time, so all songs from U2 sound like they are singing about my life, so who the heck knows.... this whole song sounds like it could be being sung about a girl whom was a victim of sexual assault and trying to get out of the symptoms of R.T.S., or Rape Trauma Syndrome which, in the USA Military system... they call it M.S.T. or Military Sexual Trauma

Basically what the many Doctors have as options from there is to medicate the surviving patient until they are ready or willing to seek treatment as far as talk therapy, etc. in order to move forward and

FIND A LINE ON THE HORIZON....

Hopefully U2's next CD will be about FINALLY finding what they were looking for.... but we all already know what that is now... =)

In general, reflecting on what I typed above, ... I think the music & lyris themselves can take on some many universal meanings and that is what is so awesome about the music & lyrics of U2. It's about how EVERYONE can take it and turn the music into something that means something specifically for THEM. For Example: People COULD have traumas in their lives... and EVERYONE can have a moment or two or three days, months, years... etc where they feel like there is "no light at the end of the tunnel" or there is no...
