Well if anyone's seen the music video it's definately about the younger woman's son dying and then later on her father dies. The son tells the day not to be afraid because in heaven there are "no more goodbyes"
As for the song, I think that the father is talking in the first verse and he's looking down from heaven and he's saying it's not like his daughter to drive that slow and that nothings on the radio and she usually walks into the house but she knows that her mother is about to tell her some bad news and her father knows the news that she's about to get (here comes goodbye..here comes the last time..here comes the start of every sleepless night..etc.)
Then in the second verse clearly it's the mother speaking because she's saying how she looked forward to the day she could see her husband walking her daughter down the aisle on her wedding day.
It's an amazing song, very well written and the music is beautiful!
