i think this could partly be about his new state of mind, which is more relaxed and happy? that's the impression i got from "time is not a moment we're letting slip away..." it's like he can let go of thoughts, and not have this need dwell on negative ones or even the fear of not being happy again and trying to preserve moments. because he has accepted that life is transitory and can even celebrate that..."a chance to die enhances growth." i also think it could be about how people want him to still be this depressed moody rocker even though that's not who who he is anymore, especially when he says "i'm not your mocking bird, that sings your cellar song.' And he could be talking about his music when he says "it's not enough to say that this is my love", like people wanting more or other things from it. Also, the media misrepresenting him, "she got a paper run, to write your letters wrong"

Wow... That cleared a lot up. Good interpretation. The only thing I would add or think about from my point of view is that like "a chance to die enhances growth". To me I feel like that means the more obstacles you overcome the stronger you turn out. Stare death in the face & its not that scary anymore.

Good song. Silverchair seriously evolved.
