I feel as if this song is about war, in a way.

Simply because of the melody I hear. It starts of slow and quiet, much like the calm before the storm and suddenly, drums enter, bringing with it a dramatic flair of background music that it leaves me thinking of shots of gun, fire from the guns, and the bodies left on the ground to become as the song says, skeletons.

Thus, I think that the song tells of a story of a girl, asking her lover who is off to war, "love, don't go." to which the reply is, "love, don't cry."

As he leaves, and as with most tragedies, it rains, leaving her hiding her tears behind the raindrops. She falls asleep, has a pedculiar dream, feeling as if her lover at war is gone, forever during the rain from a gunshot possibly, which could explain the line, "frost or flame."

Err, if that made sense. Either way, it's what I hear.
