This has to be my favorite track from the new LP. It's just so mellow and serious. There's something about it that gives off the sense that isolation is about to dawn. Or, maybe that's just what I get from it.
But, I feel that the lyrics are based around a relationship(friendship, intimacy or even work relationship) that is becoming way too taxing. It's "draining" the life and reason out of the whole thing. Yet, for some reason, they aren't able to cut ties and move on from the situation. Sort of like a dying cycle that they can't escape from.
I seriously love this track. There's something timeless and very mature about this cut.
Wow... I have to say, I've been reviewing this album in order of the songs on the cd because it's NEW and I've been looking forward to Swoon being released and so far I haven't seen a song on the album that really catches my breath like this one.

I agree a lot with what Cabres says and Cabres captures all of the symbols and ideas of a relationship and maturity and what time does to love in his post. I just wanted to add (because I have been reviewing this album from beginning to end) that this band plays...

I just wanted to add (because I have been reviewing this album from beginning to end) that this band plays shoegaze/dreampop which means their songs make you feel like you're IN A DREAM!!
so, turn up the music, lay back and relax...
cheers to silversun pickups for such a mature, evolved sound that I had never expected...
