I don't understand exactly what it's about but one thing is clear; it's about a relationship failing. And like all of their songs it fucking kicks ass!
I think it's about a certain arguement that made them break up, and he's saying that he did all he could to make it work, but he's sick of the fighting and I think they ended up cheating(but maybe he was drunk and doesn't remember until way later) on each other at one point, but she thinks he's an idiot and doesn't realize she cheated so in the end he finally breaks and snaps at her, but claims it's not her fault.

I think that part pertains to the way he reacts in his head throughout the arguement, and that he's going to be okay.
