Carrie sings it amazingly, as always. and of course props to randy. since this is carries version i will use "she". she regrets that she left the guy. she loves him and wants him back more than anything. but she is afraid that she will embarass herself by asking him to get involved again. in my opinion she should go ahead for it anyways. an i told you so could be better than if she were to keep it in for the rest of her life
