James Hilton said, "There are moments in each man's life when he glimpses the eternal." Whether he sees God in another human being, or in nature, or in daily life, I believe that this song is about that realization which in reality can be a huge thing if realized properly and put into proper perspective. It is a pleasant idea to think of something larger than our own egos (although I am certain those who are followers of the existential self-absorbed way of life would most certainly refute me). No I am not talking about organized religion...just the idea that something is bigger than ourselves. You can take it from there into whatever you wish.
