Lover, when you don't lay with me
I'm a huntress for a husband lost at sea
If I had you here
We were here together
I'd be boy and you'd be girl
Beautiful
I get the feeling that she doesn't have much control in this relationship (whether that is a good or bad thing, who knows?), but when her lover isn't there she's kind of left hanging. The lost at sea bit makes me think that perhaps when he's gone she has no idea where he is but still tries to keep it together. The boy and girl part also suggests that she wants to take a more dominant role.
Calling moon and moon
Shoot that big bad hand
It'll drag me to your door
And I won't see you no more
I'm a bit unsure about the chorus, Moon and Moon are the band of Natasha's bf. I don't really know much about them except that they're very theatrical with their work http://www.la-soc.com/moonandmoon.html (a link of some of their work, Natasha sings on the final track).
When this wild world
Is a big bad hand
Pushing on my back
Do you understand?
When I get home
From being in the jungle
Where's my bear to lick me clean?
Feed my soul milk and honey
I think she's just asking her lover to protect and comfort her...she wants them to be there as she would be for them. I dunno...I'm finding this to be a little hard to decipher. I get the feeling this is something very cryptic and personal to Natasha.
