ok, i've listened to most lifehouse songs and they're not all about god. yah they're religious before they became an official band, but they turned to alternative afterward, signing into a record deal. but, seriously, after listening to most of their songs, they're all NOT ABOUT GOD. some of the songs are REALLY obvious that they're to love/or a girl... and this song, it strikes me of the imagery of a baby/infant and his/her parents too. this song is about problems at home, and trying to make your parents proud of you, though they never seem to be proud... etc. basically its a sad song, but trust me, this isn't about god. its like the relationship between parent and child, etc, and how the child struggles. i think it's symbolizing a typical teen today, where there's the indescribable and misunderstood bond between parents and their children.
