If you're unfamiliar with the story of Icarus, he was part of Greek mythology. In an attempt to escape Crete, Icarus flew too close to the sun, which melted his wings of wax, causing him to fall his death in the sea.
In contrast, Crack the Skye begins with the character being detached from his body and strewn into space. "Now I'm lost in oblivion"
