"He pays the bills
And he mows the lawn"
Anyways, the song seems pretty straight forward, A wife and mother who takes meds because she's depressed. Her husband just pays the bills and ignores it, and her family wishes she'd just leave them. And I think the last verse where it says "he takes the pills and he moves along" and also "we take these pills and we move along" means more than just taking the meds, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
