I reckon that this song is about a guy saying that because of the girl and her opinions, they need some time away from each other. Even though he really wants to be with her, he's making the decision not to be because it's better for them.

"When you feel so close to some resolve you write the words that you were writing for but your courage gets dissolved into what i don't know when you feel that way again you have to stop your thinking think of what you're here for and let the rest of your feelings go"

This part means that they are arguing over something (maybe a recurring argument) and the girl is writing all these reasons for her side of the argument, but gets sick of it and wants to just give up and let him win to stop the fight, but he's saying that she just needs to stop and calm down for a bit, because he still wants her to stand up for her beliefs.

"you've got to find your balance you got to realize you've got to try to find what's right before your eyes oh and if you find you're fallen and all your grace is gone just scream for me and i'll be what you're falling on, oh"

Thie chorus is him telling the girl they need some time away till she realises the obviousness of the situation, and when she does, he'll be there for her no matter what.

"when you feel so close to some resolve you say the things that you're standing for don't let your courage get dissolved cause it's then that the fear grows"

He's telling her that she needs to honestly realise she's wrong and not just give in to him to just let him win and end the argument by not standing for her beliefs, because he wants her to stand up for herself, but also see the other side to the story.

"just give me the word and i'll be there just tell me the words that i've been living for Just give me the word and I will be there Just tell me the words that I've been living for Just tell me the things you might have said before It's do or die, this is either or Just give me the word and I will be there Just give me the word and I will be there"

After he's made his point he's clarifying and also saying that he wants to hear her tell him that she loves him, because he knows that if she still does, then everything will be fine, if not then it could be the end of their relationship -> "it's do or die, its either or"

Well, that's my take on it anyway. Sorry if its not too clear, kind of a complicated story to explain but yeah... Tell me if you think im right (or close)
