it's basically saying that he told her that she could never be happy with someone else but he let her go anyway cauze she wanted to, and she didnt believe him...now she gets what he was saying, and she tries to get him back, but he turns her down because he doesnt wanna risk losing her again,but he has the last say by saying "i hate to say it but i told you so told you if you left that you were gonna be miserable..."
