I think this song is actually making fun of drunks/alcoholics.
It's saying all you need to do is drink to be happy/dumb.
The harder you think, the less happy you'll be.

I think is referring to curing a hang over, basically saying, we don't need alcoholics and drunks so just die...
I may be a tad bias in my reading because I'm really anti-alcohol, I have nothing against drinking responsibly but I personally view drinking as pointless. I will legally be able to drink tomorrow and I have no plans to do so.
