Best song of the EP, sounds like the end of a great night out and they're both sad to say goodbye, although I don't know what "shuck and jive" means. anybody?
"Shucking and jiving" was a tactic of both survival and resistance. A slave, for instance, could say eagerly, "Oh, yes, Master," and have no real intention to obey. Or an African-American man could pretend to be working hard at a task he was ordered to do, but might put up this pretense only when under observation. Both would be instances of "doin' the old shuck 'n jive."

This song is one of my favorites. I get held up on my heart a bunch when it comes to...
This song is one of my favorites. I get held up on my heart a bunch when it comes to girls (thinly veiled Walkmen reference) and this is always the song I put on once the scar tissue (figuratively) has begun to form. Love the "It can be such a shame/how short the night and day." Many times, I thought about this during a fling that I was into, but at the same time, knew that would end soon. We never are sated by the amount of time we are given and the more you live in the moment the better, at least that's how I feel.
