I don't agree with the gay couple angle--at least, I don't see any reason to believe this applies. It's obvious to me that the other asked the one about his first gay experience, or how many men he'd been with. The one who's asking doesn't seem gay, but actually ignorant of the gay world. It's the "implication" that the history of "a hundred...not boasting, just the ways of this world," makes him a slut, that makes the one upset, along with, of course, the other's nosiness.

I used to skip this song because on probably 99% of the U.S. CD pressings (but not cassette), about one second of the song is missing, and that annoyed the shmit out of me. The version on Capsule is restored, o happy day, so now I can properly enjoy it.
