This got Kirty a bit of a reputation as a 'novelty act' and a repuation as a 'novelty song'. Which is total cobblers. Despite it's humourous title, the main focus is on the lines that follow 'but he's a liar and I'm not sure about you.

It's about a gal (the narrator) being in a relationship with a popular and successful gentleman who appear to be some kind of buisnessman or wheeler-dealer (moehair suit, foriegn shoes, on the phone to New York). And the girl is loosing her trust in him. Obvious IMO but worth posting.

There was an add campaign a few years ago for the local chip shop inspired by this song, a 'come and see Elvis' sort of slogan did it have.
