This song makes me think of a person who was stuck in some form of sin and got out, but then sadly fell back into it. They're pretending everything is okay, but really down inside they are depressed and struggling. And even though God saved them the first time, "I found my way back again" (AKA they found their way back into a sinful habit).
It seems the person is tired of being stuck in their sin and asking for the Lord to once again, save them:
"I'm not doin' well, I'm not doin' well
So take me out of the dark,
Back to the place where I'm found
And back with you."
It's a great song!! It's sad, but I'm sure a lot of Christian's go through it, it's too bad that very little know that Christ has already won the battle for them and all they need to do is trust him.
