This song is about depression. As years go by and it happens to you, or someone you know, this song takes on a whole new meaning. Great White put this cover tune (originally done by Australian band "The Angels" or "Angel City" as they were known in the U.S.) as part of an EP when they lost their first big record contract. "Stay Alive in '85" was their motto and tour, then. Women, record companies, fans, even fellow band members, it was all pretty depressing for the band at that time.
Anyway, I love this song and it fits just right for those moments of loneliness, betrayal, despair, and hopelessness that seem like they will last forever. Fortunately, they never do. But the song is great~!
