Hmm I don't know about the one stand scenario. It seems more like a "friends with benefits" knda thing cuz he says "is this STILL happening".
I kinda picture it as an ex-girlfriend kinda thing.("of any self respect we may have had") Like they broke up, possibly some time ago, but she gets him to meet up wtb her, she gets some alcohol in him ("I think my drink is way too strong") and gets him to sleep with her but he doesn't really fight it since he's bored and lonely anyways. I kinda feel like this song goes hand in hand with Lust A Prima Vista.
Also I kinda think that Nick isn't really into casual sex.(not just from this song alone but from a lot of their songs) And the line "degrade the true meaning of affection" basically embodies that. And in the song Himerus and Eros: "I hope to God I mean a lttle more than the sounds that escape your tired 4 am lips.
