I think these lyrics are slightly off. This is what I think they are:
This precise time and right here
Are not going anywhere
Ive had enough of new todays
For once Id like to go another way
I speak my last words and then remember it may never end
All that Ive won I have lost
Each passing moment cuts me off
Well, I dont like to waste a chance but theyre overflowing
What I dont do will get done by somebody
When I was five I saw some plants ungrowing
Whether seen forwards or back theyd keep going
Theyd keep going
If the seasons which change were all still
Its so easy to see life would fail
Whatever slips out of our hands
Will find its way back to us once again
If the seasons which change were all still
Its so easy to see life would fail
Whatever slips out of our hands
Will find its way back to us once again
Will find its way back to us once again
Will find its way back to us once again
Once again
It's an amazing song. One of my favorites already and I can't stop listening to it. I derive a lot of the meaning from the last lines:
"If the seasons which change were are still
It's so easy to see life would fail.
Whatever slips out of our hands
will find its way back to us once again"
I interpret it as without our struggles and hardships, without knowing failure and grief, we can never succeed as humans. We need to go through periods of coldness and desolation, like a winter, in order to learn from it and grow further we emerge out of it, in our spring. I think he's saying that feelings of depression and sadness are temporary, that, whatever feelings of happiness "slipped out of our hands" will return to us eventually, just like spring does every year. Such a great song and message.
