I'm probably wrong but I think these lyrics is about some of the effects of global warming.

-Hmmm..... Well, my dad told me that the climate will change greatly. Example, dry deserts will be extremely dry, cold regions will be extremely cold, etc.
Because of these intense climate changes, some places will no longer be recognizable so we loose our "sense of direction"
