I pray that the rest of the album isnt like this (Christina promised an 'Arabic' influence on this album... I certainly dont hear it on this track)
But... Does it sound nice? Is it not still Lacuna Coil? Could it, in fact, be you who is is spellbound? Controlled by unrealistic expectations, cynicism... It's not like they're not trying. That said, it is a distinct change in the tone and depth of meaning compared to many of the older songs. There's no mystery, no metaphor, no melancholy. Not so drastic as the shallowing of Evanescence between "Fallen" and "The Open Door", but still the album IS called Shallow Life. Maybe this just one is made outside of the mold to try something different?

Yes, though I agree that Shallow Life isn't AS good as all of their other CD'S there still (as always) are good songs on their album.

Like in my opinion, I find I only like Spellbound and Wide Awake from Shallow Life.
