It's pretty obvious, all about how the last easy, peaceful 18 years of one's life have past and it's time now to live independently ("You must learn - you must learn to live your life, just on your own"), throw away all the constraints of childhood ("Mother! Take it all away!")and that despite the difficulty of growing up, your life is not over. ("I'll never give it back, my life's just begun")
