Seems like he's poking fun at himself, (or his reputation, at least) just a little bit, especially the first line of each verse lol. People do say all his girlfriends look the same, and he did seem to get....um....bored very quickly with his women lol.
But overall, I think the song is about him wanting a steady, real relationship with a woman that's based on more than looks and sex or whatever.
He is poking at his lothario image, well deserved in many a case, but his realization that none of the stuff he used 2 value in relationships/conquests means anything compared to what is "under the floor" a strong foundation, that will last forever more! Cinderella was a waste of time and oops she's out the door! indeed!
