this song is great, as are all of the Arctic Monkeys! When I first started to listen to the Arctic Monkeys like two-three years back this was deff my favorite song!!
It's clearly about a girl who gets into these moods with her boyfriend and kind of turns her face and acts like he doesn't care.... but then when he says, "oh when you say i don't care, well of course i do, yeah i clearly do," it makes the song so meaningful. It's cute really.
"i see your frown and it's like looking down the barrel of a gun, and it goes off," To me, those words are really powerful. It's saying how it hurts him so much to see his girlfriend frown and get sad and how its like getting shot with a gun in the face...very powerful!
To sum things up, I reeally like this song...and i'm an american fan so i really dont get the whole "Mardy Bum" thing....i'm not sure what it means. haha. but as a whole adorable, great, meaningful son!
