This song is definitely about miscarriage. It is a topic that is definitely not discussed enough nor are mothers and fathers allowed to openly grieve about it, which is a shame. As someone who has experienced infertility I really can identify with it. This song and Tori Amos's "Spark" are beautiful and heartbreaking tributes to lost unborn children.
