I love this song too. I'm wondering if this band is mislabeled because everything I have by them is labeled "The Automatic Automatic".
Personally, I think this is a satire written about Generation Y, and how people think the "Myspace scene" is different from the "intellectual scene", which is different from the "indie scene", which is totally not the same as "emo". What you get is a watered down civilization in which no one really knows what anyone else is talking about, but everyone goes along with it to keep from appearing ignorant.
