I haven't read the the story of Caesar in quite some time, but when I first looked at the lyrics, it automatically struck me as being the story of Caesar.
Where he says "Leave an ice pick in my neck," I started to wonder though because I don't remember one of Caesar's friends stabbing him in the neck. That and a few other things made it seem like it wasn't from the story of Caesar though. Another example being "I knew not your names," those were Caesar's friends or at least acquaintances so he would've known their names.
If anyone has any input on this, could you let me know? I'm interested in analyzing this song, so it'd be cool if anyone let me know some of the ideas they had. My email is: ron.harris AT yahoo dot com
