The chorus and the bridge feel very intimate I think the reason he uses first person there is that he's describing experiences he has had himself on his own time.
The title Follow and Feel I think is addressing the communication issue between the two, because the following is obviously talking about the bridge, "Follow, please follow me home" and I think she may have followed him home a few times and thats partly how the two of them feel out or gauge whats going on between them instead of actually talking about it.
