i wrote the comment above, but sadly forgot the pass to it. but anyways i found out more about the meaning and i thought i would write in on here, so everyone can also know.
but anyways this song was one of daves first written songs and he wrote it about his girlfriend that he had back in new jersey (morris county, nj) right before he moved to florida. i guess he was really young when he wrote it and was writing about how when he went back there his gf was moved on and everyone was saying it but he didnt want to blieve it even though he pretty much knew it was over, he wanted to hear it from her. he said that in a previous q&a blog.
