I also agree with the suicide comment. I like this song because of the unique and catchy melody, but also because of the lyrics, and I do rather enjoy pondering upon them. One thing I would add is that he throws his troubles to other places throughout the song, suggesting maybe that he merely separates or even compartmentalizes his troubles and worries so that they do not get the best of him (and of course, this can be achieved through some marijuana.)
The end talks about how if he catches fire then he'll "take [his] turn to burn burn and burn" suggesting that he maybe finally taking responsibility for all of his woes.
