As for actual song meaning, it seems that the artist is merely making a statement about his/her self image, or maybe even self confidence. I think it's a safe bet to say that the artist doesn't feel comfortable being as they are, and would seek to alter their image of themselves given the chance.
I dunno. Seems more to me about transcendence and a plea for the body to just fall away so the singer can become pure soul/mind. Alternately it seemed kind of as if it was from the perspective of someone disabled or otherwise minoritized--mainly because of the sense of feeling encumbered by your body rather than empowered.
