Great song and band.
To me this song is more than just a guy and a girl in love.
I feel that it's about a love for something greater as in GOD.
He is running away to escape life and to truly find GOD without outside pressures from anything else.
What really made me think this was the whole light theme that is going on. Dark turning to light, lighthouse...etc.
Just my opinion.
